Okay so during the winter bowling clubs get a bit quieter but then again there are some great events that keep the Hampdeners coming along to the club. This Friday is no different. Last year was the first year that we had the usual monthly quiz a week early to coincide with Halloween. The members get dressed up, the pumpkins get lit and the place decked out. Then there is the costumes. We had a priest and 60's chick, a couple of burglars, a hippy in amongst witches, warlocks and a lot of other spooky dress ups. It was a great night for all and this Friday night at 7.30pm will be no different. Oh and the regular quiz master is back with the usual teaser questions. This is one of the best nights of the year, so if you fancy it please come along. For a sneak peak go to the following link to get a wee comic video of our own Jim P.

On Monday night the Hampden Team were out in the Indoor Bowls and have chalked up another victory. This time without their skip. Did we miss Jim P, well the banter was not as usual but our temporary skip Ian Williams was on fire. We must be moving up the league with the recent form. I'll need to go and have a look at the league to see where we are.
Other stuff going on. Ian went along to the Business planning course that Bowls Scotland ran yesterday. I'll catch up tomorrow night and see how he got on. The winter will be about putting the plan together for next year and get some ideas down. We had a quote back about the paths and I need to get my finger out on the refurbishment of the club. Next year is really important - a year to really make a big change in the club. With a wee help from our friends at BBC Scotland - you never know whats possible.
Have a grand week
Cheers
