So another week. Ok so for the first time I have missed the blog by one day. Yes its Monday but then again I had a good excuse. I completed the Snowdonia Challenge at the weekend and I had a task last night to produce a wee video from the fantastic time we had at the weekend. Its a great event with over 50 teams completing the 40 mile cycle, climbing Mount Snowdon and Canoe around Lake Gwynant. All for charity and I would like to thank all the kind sponsorship from the club members. It was all for a good cause and I promised to put the link out. So here it is.

Right so excuses out the way. It was another great week at HBC. We'll start off with the Scottish Pairs where Jim Milligan and Tommy Clarke were knocked out by one shot. That's the last participation in the big one. But they did so well to get to the Quarters of the competition. It was also our first outing in the Cathcart League for the Gents and we lost 3 matches out of 4 against Mount Florida (Local rivals). Not the best start however there are plenty more ties to play.
This week the Ladies start out in the Glasgow Competition and start their adventure. So here's hoping they do really well.
And then we come to the Bankfoot Friendly. The best part of Hampden is that the history means that we get a lot of Football fans in and gives us the perfect opportunity to meet other folk from clubs far and wide. This weekend we had Bankfoot come down to Glasgow and they had (by all accounts) and an excellent time. I had a number of texts from Jim and Ian saying what a great time they had. It nearly got off to the worst possible start when the bus didn't turn up. But they managed to pull enough cars together to get a squad down. They all had a great time. Bankfoot won the inaugural tie by over 20 shots and we are really looking forward to the return tie next year!!
So another great week. I also managed to miss the song for the weekend. So here it is. Black Betty by Ram Jam. This was played at 5.15am on Saturday morning to get our team all ready for our adventure in North Wales. The Team was aptly named 'Training Starts Tomorrow'!
Here's to another week.
Cheers
