The summer is flying by and there are so many fixtures going on.
This week was a friendly at Methven. It is their 150th year this year and it was great to get a friendly with them. Although we lost on the day it was a great day out.
In the Cathcart League this week the gents were playing Castlemilk. Another bout of the Scottish Weather - sunny all day and then raining just as we are about to step out onto the bowling green. On the night we lost 3 of the 4 and are still rooted to the bottom of the table. Fortunately there is no relegation in the league :-)
However all was not lost. The club won its Top 10 match against Cathcart by 6 points to 2 and will now play Eaglesham during this week. And this was followed up by another great result where the Ladies won against Camphill by 10 shots in their annual friendly.
So a mixed bag this week. Lots of other things going on as we plan for the Summer Fete on the 29th July, which is our big event of the year. And there was a wee article in the evening Times this week so have linked it into the blog for posterity.
Right better get back to it.
Have a great week
Cheers
